It is crazy.
A similar thing happened when I used my paypal in Lagos for the first time last week. I promptly got an email that my account had been restricted because I’d accessed it from “an unfamiliar location.” To get it restored, I had to send images of my passport and school id, confirm my account number and date of birth. Nothing short of that would do. Not even the fact that I gave them my blog address, and sent the email from a recognizable address, lol.
Lovely.
