Wow, so we’re going to start making Islamic jokes now?? You’re right, it’s not funny. This incident with Farouk Abdumutallab will only create more negative stereotypes for Nigerians; ones we certainly do not need.

Yes, we are going to start making Islamic jokes. Humour and jokes are an important form of expression in a democratic society. There are jokes about Jews, Christians and every other religion. If these are okay, why can’t we make jokes about Islam? Certain members of the Islamic religion are definitely behaving in ways that should be made commented on.
