Here’s what happened. I got bored again while working on a linguistics translation assignment so I closed the boring pages and set up my recording equipments. This is the result. And with this, I think there might be a future for me in music someday. Maybe a Grammy.
Here then is a result of my sleepless night yesterday. Note: It is a different version from the one I sent around to my friends’ unsuspecting email addresses earlier today.
If I would make a musical album, the cover jacket might look somewhat like this picture ;). It will also include the following songs which I have now also recorded: Bob Marley’s Waiting in Vain, Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight and Whitney Houston’s One Moment in Time. Haha. Boredom rocks.
Enjoy.
PS: Congrats to Clarissa’s One Year Blogging Anniversary!

I’m not sure if you intended to do so, but you made me smile, laugh and shake my head! I have to confess, I don’t think you should quit your day job, but this was fun!!! Oya, I want to hear the Whitney song. Ooh, we should turn this into a series. I’m signing up to sing my own song when I get my voice back of course, *ahem, ahem*
Who’s with me? heeheehee

Well, not all of us can brilliant professors of Spanish language and literature. Some of us can make croaky sound recordings too. I guess it compensates for diminishing language acquiring skills 🙂

Well, it wasn’t all that croaky. 🙂
I’m kidding! It is a very cool recording. You mst have a lot of stuff to carry with you on your travels: photographic equipment, recording equipment, books. How do you manage all that?

It didn’t take much effort to do, actually. All I needed was a downloadable karaoke track of the required song, a good headphone mic and a silent room. When I/you say “photographic equipment” or “recording equipment”, it’s just a way to make them sound grander than just plain “camera” and “a little microphone”. So I’m glad you like it. I’ll put up some of the other better tracks when I can :).
As per books, luckily I didn’t bring so many when I was coming. I bought them all here, and I’m still wondering how to get them all out of here in one piece without paying for too much excess luggage. 😀
